Wisconsin Expands Case Limit for Direct-to-Consumer Shipping

Wisconsin Governor James Doyle signed SB-485, the direct-to-consumer shipping bill, yesterday, March 13, 2008. The bill provides for the direct-to-consumer shipping of 12 cases per person per year (an increase over the 3-case annual limit in the reciprocity law that is being replaced). The cost of the permit is $100 per year and the bill provides for the payment of sales and excise taxes. The bill becomes effective on October 1, 2008.
