Vermont Online Licensing Portal & Changes for Filing DTC Report Due Jan. 15

The Vermont Department of Liquor and Lottery launched a new online licensing portal on Aug. 29, 2022. Paper applications are no longer accepted by the department. All applications for new licenses and renewals of existing licenses must be submitted through the new portal. In addition, wineries licensed to ship direct to consumers (DTC) in Vermont are now required to submit reports to the department through the new online portal. The next DTC report, covering shipments made from July 1, 2022 through Dec. 31, 2022, is due no later than Jan. 15, 2023.

As part of the transition to the online portal, all current licensees were sent a letter with a unique authorization code. Licensees need the access code to sign in to the portal and claim their business, if they have not already done so. Only after a business is claimed may current licensees submit reports and applications for renewals. Wineries that did not receive a letter should contact the Division of Liquor Control at (802) 828-2339. Resources and training videos are available on the department’s online portal.
